Pancreas
Pancreatic transplants are not as common as other transplants. They usually are performed in patients with type 1 diabetes who have extensive end-organ damage.55 Most pancreas transplantation procedures are performed together with kidney transplantation. Because most patients have end-stage renal disease from diabetes, they also may experience the same seizure rate postoperatively as kidney transplant patients.
