Renal impairment

Tiagabine is cleared almost entirely by the liver. The pharmacokinetics of total and unbound tiagabine are similar in subjects with normal renal function and in subjects with mild, moderate, and severe renal impairment.69

Hemodialysis

The pharmacokinetics of total and unbound tiagabine were not altered by hemodialysis in a study of subjects with chronic renal failure.69
